Deuteronomy chapter .xxxiiij.

¶ And Moses went from the fields of Moab up into mount Nebo which is the top of Pisga, that is over against Iericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead even unto Dan, and all Naphthali and the land of Ephraim and Manasse, and all the land of Iuda: even unto the utmost sea, and the south and the region of the plain of Iericho the city of datetrees even unto Zoar. And the LORD said unto him. This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, Isaac and Iacob saying: I will give it unto thy seed. I have shewed it thee before thine eyes: but thou shalt not go over thither.
¶ So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab at the commandment of the LORD. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab beside Beth Peor: but no man wist of his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died, and yet his eyes were not dim nor his cheeks abated. And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the fields of Moab thirty days. And the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
¶ And Iosua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom: for Moses had put his hand upon him. And all the children of Israel hearkened unto him and did as the LORD commanded Moses. But there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, in all the miracles and wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, unto Pharao and all his servants and unto all his land: and in all the mighty deeds and great terrible things which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
