Quote:
Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
Dan shall be a serpent in the way, and an adder in the path, and bite the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
Code:
After thy saving look I, LORD.

Gen. 49:16-18

Quote:
And as Moses lift up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lift up, that none which believeth in him perish: but have eternal life.
John 3:14-15

Diligently hearing the providence of the LORD we understand how and why he commanded Moses:
Quote:
And the people came to Moses and said: we have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against thee: make intercession to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses made intercession for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses: make thee a serpent and hang it up for a sign, and let as many as are bitten look upon it and they shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass and set it up for a sign. And when the serpents had bitten any man, he went and beheld the serpent of brass and recovered. Nu. 21:7

Although later on a generation came that had forgotten that dire lesson. Thankfully a servant like Hezekiah did something about it, because "He trusted in the LORD God of Israel, so that after him came none like him among all the kings of Juda, neither among them that went before him. He clave to the LORD and departed not from him, but kept his commandments which the LORD commanded Moses.
Quote:
He put away the hillaltars, and brake the images and cut down the groves, and all to brake the brazen serpent that Moses made. For unto those days the children of Israel did burn sacrifice to it, and called it Nehustan.
2Kings 18

The serpent represents sin, and taking into account that Jesu was indeed lift up on a wood and put to death, and risen on the third day agreeing to the Scriptures just certifies a devout believer's victory over sin, in that the most highest God made HIM to be sin for us, which knew no sin, that we by his means should be that righteousness which before God is allowed.

In-deed the LORD, our highest God, has the antidope for sin (even the remedy for the poison of the serpent and adder.)

P.S. Ironically antidoPe was actually a typo of antidoTe.... that perhaps it was meant to be & teach us that without obeying Christ we are a bunch of DOPES.
