Psalms 117:1-2
1O Praise the LORD all ye Gentiles, laude him all ye people.  2For his merciful kindness is ever more and more toward us, and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise the everlasting.

Romans 15:11
Again, praise the Lord all ye gentiles, and laud him all nations.

Who is the LORd?

1 Corinthians 8:5-6
5And though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth (as there be gods many and lords many)  6but unto us is there one God, which is the father, of whom are all things, and we in him: and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Why do we laud or praise his name?

John 20:20-31
20And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and feet, and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they saw the Lord.  21He said unto them again: peace be with you. As my father sent me, even so send I you.  22And when he had said that, he blew on them, and said unto them: Receive the holy ghost.  23Whosoever's sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them: And whosoever's sins ye retain, they are retained.  24 Thomas one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.  25The other disciples said unto him: we have seen the Lord. And he said unto them: except I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger in the holes of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.  26And after eight days again, his disciples were with in, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst and said: peace be with you:  27Than said he to Thomas: put in thy finger here, and see my hands, and put forth thy hand and thrust him into my side, and be not without faith: but believe.  28Thomas answered and said unto him: my Lord, and my God.  29Jesus said unto him: Thomas, because thou hast seen me, therefore hast thou believed: Happy are they that have not seen, and yet believe.  30And many other signs did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book.  31These are written that ye might believe that Jesus is Christ the son of God. And that ye in believing ye might have life thorow his name.

Acts 10:43
To him giveth all the prophets witness, that thorow his name shall receive remission of sins all that believe in him.

"Thorow" here implies "thoroughly through" his name that has a great significance. In Hebrew the name of Christ is Yeshuah - that simply means:
Yes He Is our Salvation, and of course Eternal Health foretold so long ago in the Scriptures.
(see post The name Jesu Christ of Nazareth)

Now, are we obligated to Praise the Everlasting Lord in some worldly church or recognized institution thereof?
What does the LORd say?

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Notwithstanding the LORd ought to be reverenced and even feared no matter where it is, even in a worldly place.. cause as it is written:
Psalms 139:8
If I climb up into heaven, thou art there: if I go down to hell, thou art there also.

No matter where it be.. the true congregation are the few people who truely acknowledge the Everlasting Lord in spirit and verity.
John 4:24
God is a spirit, and they that worship him, must honour him, in spirit and verity.

Psalms 68:26
O give thanks unto God the LORd in the congregation, for the wells of Israel.

Hebrews 2:11-12
11Forasmuch as he which sanctifieth, and they which are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause's sake he is not ashamed to call them brethren  12saying: I will declare thy name unto my brethren, and in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
