Hi Davar3 fans,

this is probably last report before first public alpha version D3 will be released.

* Most difficult part was to rewrite all combos, list boxes and listview controls to owner draw. By that, it should correctly display Hebrew and Greek, properly aligned and independent on version of MS Windows, Internet Explorer and comctl32.dll library. Our tests on W98SE, W2000 SP4 and XP passed well.

NEW FEATURES:
* Hard work on search dialog. First tab (Text) allows now also search in lexicons. After first search in lexicon, you can set check "Search in results of lexicon search"



* Strong search. In books and lexicons, if strong# were used, you can search for specific strong# (see picture with Tab2 "Strongs"). If you have opened more lexicons, you can use buttons "<<#" and "#>>" to synchronize rest lexicons to specific Strong#.
For book only, you can use "Strong word" search. For example, if enter "King" and search in KJV+, you will in results obtain all hits with that word "King" with its strong#. Results can be sorted according References, word or strong#. You can use also wildcards * and ? so, "king*" will also catch "kingdom" and "kings" - 3335 hits in 2512 verses. That is usefull to study how strong# fit to each word.
In example below, strong# search in lexicon is demonstrated.



* Reference search. Davar3 have also books and lexicons with text references (green underlined on pictures). User can in third tab (Reference) search for single reference "Gen 1:1" or interval "Gen 1:1-Gen 1:5". It is very usefull with connection with commentaries (JFB, TSK etc...). You will get all informations and references about specific passage of the Scripture.

For books and lexicons, you can combine each type of search (Text, strong and reference) using search in results - to obtain all informations from the text.




Davar3 grew to ~ 55 000 lines of C, run quite stable on W98-XP and is intensively tested. Just now, most serious bugs are washed out.

Bug report web is prepared. When it will run, we allow to people who will register as Davar3 testers (freely, of course) access to Davar3 and about 80 existing modules (books, lexicons and dictionaries) to play with - and hopefully also report bugs.
