John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but favour (godly grace) and verity (revealed truth) came by Jesus Christ.
Notwithstanding, here's a list of translated variations from the Septuagint (The Greek 285 B.C. translation of the Hebrew Old Testament that the Lord and Apostles quoted from in the Synagogues, here quoted from the Septuagint 1851 English translation by Brenton) and Hebrew Scrolls found around the Dead Sea compared to the Massoretic hebrew as found translated in the King James version; and compared also to the original English Tyndale and friends Bible that translated the Books till 2nd Kings from masoretic Hebrew scrolls, but ironically from Isaiah onwards got the translation from the Coverdale 1535 Bible that mostly depended on the Ancient Latin Bible:

The Lord is faithful in his words, and holy in all his works.
Very interesting how the Septuagint has that extra verse that is so very true:Septuagint wrote:The Lord is faithful in his words, and holy in all his works.

And all the souls born of Jacob were seventy-five.Verse not found. There was no verse found at Acts 7:14 (KJV). Please make sure the book is spelled correctly and that the chapter and verse exists. Ironically most modern translations have that same wording ..
- instead of the correct:
THE LORD THY GOD WHICH BROUGHT YOU FROM THE LAND OF EGYPT!Verse not found. There was no verse found at Hosea 13:4 (TRC). Please make sure the book is spelled correctly and that the chapter and verse exists. Also, ensure that the version of the Bible you are quoting is available on this server... yea like the original English translations, Tyndale and friends Bible here translated Hosea from the Old Latin Bible as even the original Wycliffe mostly translated from the later Jerome Latin Bible, nevertheless, reverently rendered it:Wycliffe Bible wrote:Hosea 13:4 Forsooth I am thy Lord God, that led thee from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt not know God, outtaken me, and no saviour is, outtaken me.
Interestingly enough is that the Septuagint and DSS include a more rare detail:Septuagint and DSS wrote:Hosea 13:4 But I am the Lord thy God that establishes the heaven, and creates the earth, whose hands have framed the whole host of heaven: but I shewed them not to thee that thou shouldest go after them: and I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no God but me; and there is no Saviour beside me.

The Hebrew language has a different word (betulot) to describe a female virgin but it is not used here, though of course the unmarried young "almah" could also be a virgin and be understood as such specially as the moral norm. The Greek LXX Septuagint specifically used “parthenos”, a Greek word meaning “virgin”. Unfortunately nowadays the majority of gentiles (unlike most Torah abiding Jews) have watered down the meaningful Hebraic value of a godly virgin maidden ready to be bethroned for helping her husband. (See post Virgin Maidden)Septuagint wrote:Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a * virgin shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel.
Isaiah 53:11With travail and labour of his soul, shall he obtain great riches. My righteous servant shall with his wisdom justify and deliver the multitude, for he shall bear away their sins.- Tyndale and friends BibleIsaiah 53:11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.- King James VersionSeptuagint and DSS wrote:Isaiah 53:11 the Lord also is pleased to take away from the travail of his soul, to shew him light, and to form him with understanding; to justify the just one who serves many well; and he shall bear their sins.
Deuteronomy 32:43Rejoice heathen with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will avenge him of his adversaries, and will be merciful unto the land of his people.- Tyndale and friends BibleDeuteronomy 32:43Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.- King James VersionSeptuagint and DSS wrote:Deuteronomy 32:43 Rejoice, ye heavens, with him, and let all the angels of God worship him; rejoice ye Gentiles, with his people, and let all the sons of God strengthen themselves in him; for he will avenge the blood of his sons, and he will render vengeance, and recompense justice to his enemies, and will reward them that hate him; and the Lord shall purge the land of his people.
