1 Timothy 6:13-16
13I give thee charge in the sight of God, which quickeneth all things, and before Jesus Christ, which under Pontius Pilate witnessed a good witnessing,  14that thou keep the commandment without spot, so that no man find fault with thee, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,  15which appearing (when the time is come) he shall shew that is blessed and mighty only, King of Kings, and Lord of lords,  16which only hath immortality, and dwelleth in light that no man can obtain, whom never man saw, neither can see: unto whom be honour and rule everlasting Amen.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

According to the Holy Scriptures the Everlasting Lord is the onely immortality because GOD WAS who GOD WAS, and GOD IS who GOD IS, AND GOD WILL BE who GOD WILL BE ALWAY:
Genesis 17:5-7
5Therefore shalt thou no more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham: for a father of many nations have I made thee,  6and I will multiply thee exceedingly, and will make nations of thee: yea and kings shall spring out of thee.  7Moreover I will make my bond between me and thee, and thy seed after thee, in their times to be an everlasting testament, so that I will be God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
John 8:58
Jesus said unto them: Verily, verily I say unto you: yer Abraham was I am.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Exodus 3:14
Then said God unto Moses: I will be what I will be: and he said, this shalt thou say unto the children of Israel: I will be did send me to you.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ yesterday and today, and the same continueth for ever.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

The creatures in the other hand is another story:
Genesis 2:7
Then the LORD God shope man, even of the mould of the earth and breathed into his face the breath of life. So man was made a living soul.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Yea the soul is simply a conscious living creature with the ableness that the LORD God breathed into it.

All sinners' souls are mortal:
Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine. Like as the father is mine, so is the son mine also. The soul that sinneth, shall die.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

It is very clear that the soul that sins will die and therefore is not immortal.
Ever since the fall even the souls of innocent animals (given to the care of man) are suffering mortality:
Romans 8:18-23
18For I suppose that the afflictions of this life, are not worthy of the glory which shall be shewed upon us.  19Also the fervent desire of the creatures abideth looking when the sons of God shall appear  20because the creatures are subdued to vanity against their will: but for his will which subdued them in hope.  21For the very creatures shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.  22For we know that every creature groaneth with us also, and travaileth in pain even unto this time.  23Not they only, but even we also which have the first fruits of the spirit mourn in ourselves and wait for the adoption (of the children God) and look for the deliverance of our bodies.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Notwithstanding, even death inevitably becomes mortal:
1 Corinthians 15:26-28
26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.  27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest, that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.  28When all things are subdued unto him: then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all things.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Hell itself will consume away, nevermind those that are thrown in.
Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is that second death.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Moveover the Scriptures mention an everlasting fire; an everlasting penalty, and not necessarily an everlasting suffering torment for the creatures themselves.
Isaiah 33:14
The sinners at Sion are afraid, and sudden fearfulness is come upon the hypocrites. What is he among us (say they) that will dwell by that consuming fire? Which of us may abide that everlasting heat?
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Matthew 18:8
Wherefore if thy hand, or thy foot, give thee an occasion of evil: cut him off, and cast him from thee. It is better for thee to enter in to life halt or maimed, rather than thou shouldest having two hands or two feet, be cast in to everlasting fire.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Mark 9:43-44
43And if thy hand offend thee, cut him off. It is better for thee, to enter into life maimed, than to go, with two hands into hell, into fire that never shall be quenched,  44where their worm dieth not, and the fire never goeth out.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Hell was not originally meant for people but reserved for the fallen beings:
Matthew 25:41
Then shall the King say unto them that shall be on the left hand: depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire, which is prepared for the devil and his angels.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Revelation 20:10-14
10and the devil that deceived them, was cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were and shall be tormented day and night for ever more.  11And I saw a great white seat and him that sat on it, from whose face fled away both the earth and heaven, and their place was no more found.  12And I saw the dead, both great and small stand before God: And the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged of those things which were written in the books according to their deeds:  13and the sea gave up her dead, which were in her, and death and hell delivered up the dead, which were in them: and they were judged every man according to his deeds.  14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is that second death.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Who suffers forever the loss of every potential immortal soul is the LORD.
Hebrews 2:5-9
5He hath not unto the angels put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak:  6but one in a certain place witnessed, saying: What is man, that thou art mindful of him: other the son of man, that thou visitest him?  7After thou hadst for a season made him lower than the angels: thou crownedst him with honour and glory, and hast set him above the works of thy hands.  8Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. In that he put all things under him, he left nothing that is not put under him.  9Nevertheless we yet see not all things subdued unto him: but that Jesus which for a season was made less than the angels, we see thorow the punishment of death crowned with glory and honour: that he by the grace of God, should taste of death for all men.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

For God does not take pleasure in the suffering of HIS creatures:
Ezekiel 18:32
seeing I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, sayeth the Lord GOD. Turn you then, and ye shall live.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Ezekiel 33:11
Tell them: As truly as I live, sayeth the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but much rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn you, turn you from your ungodly ways, O ye of the house of Israel. Oh, wherefore will ye die?
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Rather as it is written:
Psalms 40:6-8
6Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not have, but a body hast thou ordained me: burntoffering and sacrifice for sin thou hast not allowed.  7Then said I: Lo, I come. In the beginning of the book it is written of me,  8that I should fulfill thy will O my God, and that am I content to do: yea thy law is within my heart.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Notice how the Psalm 40 of King David is given, from who's lineage came Mary the virgin mother of Jesus.
Luke 2:34-35
34And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother: behold, this child shall be the fall, and resurrection of many in Israel: And a sign which shall be spoken against.  35And moreover the sword shall pierce the very heart of thee, that the thoughts of many hearts may be opened.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Malachi 1:10
Yea what is he among you, that will do so much as to shut the doors, or to kindle the fire upon mine alter for naught? I have no pleasure in you, sayeth the LORD of Hosts: and as for the meatoffering, I will not accept it at your hand.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Matthew 12:7
Wherefore if ye had wist, what this saying meaneth: I require mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would never have condemned innocents.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Hebrews 2:7-10
7After thou hadst for a season made him lower than the angels: thou crownedst him with honour and glory, and hast set him above the works of thy hands.  8Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. In that he put all things under him, he left nothing that is not put under him.  9Nevertheless we yet see not all things subdued unto him: but that Jesus which for a season was made less than the angels, we see thorow the punishment of death crowned with glory and honour: that he by the grace of God, should taste of death for all men.  10For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, after that he had brought many sons unto glory, that he should make the Lord of their health perfect thorow afflictions:
- Tyndale and friends Bible

John 3:12-21
12If I have told you earthly things and ye have not believe: How should ye believe if I shall tell you of heavenly things?  13And no man ascendeth up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, that is to say, the son of man which is in heaven.  14And as Moses lift up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lift up,  15that none which believeth in him perish: but have eternal life.  16 God so loved the world, that he gave his only son for the intent, that none that believe in him, should perish: But should have everlasting life.  17For God sent not his son into the world, to condemn the world: But that the world through him, might be saved.  18He that believeth on him shall not be condemned. But he that believeth not, is condemned all ready, because he believeth not in the name of the only son of God.  19And this is the condemnation: Light is come into the world, and the men have loved darkness more than light, because their deeds were evil.  20For every man that evil doeth, hateth the light: neither cometh to light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  21But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds might be known, how that they are wrought in God.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

You may ask:
Why then is it mentioned in Matthew 25:46 as some translations have it: “everlasting pain”
Matthew 25:46
And these shall go into everlasting pain: And the righteous into life eternal.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

Code: Select all
Word: κολασις
Pronounc: kol'-as-is
Strong:  #G2851
Orig: from 2849; penal infliction:--punishment, torment.   #G2849
Use:  TDNT-3:816,451 Noun Feminine
HE Strong:  #H3637 #H4383

1) correction, punishment, penalty

Strong:  #G5859
See Definition for kolasis    #G5098   #G2851 differs from  #G5098  as that which is disciplinary and has reference to the him who suffers, while the latter is penal and has reference to the satisfaction of him who inflicts it

Because that Greek word "kolasis" there is emphasizing the eventual penalty that the Lord revealed later to be the second death for those that just don’t wish to be with the reality of God the Everlasting Lord, or in other words, sinners ever suffering with their ungodly hurtful fantasy till they cease to be. Who is really hurt and indeed suffers forever the loss for those potential immortal souls is the Everlasting Lord God Almighty which was, and is, and will be alway existing.

The devils (being fallen angels that can't escape the Holy Majesty forever) are tormented when they have no choice but to do the will of God:
Matthew 8:29
And lo they cried out saying: O Jesu the son of God, what have we to do with thee? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time be come?
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Mark 5:7-8
7and cried with a loud voice and said: what have I to do, with thee Jesus the son of the most highest God? I require thee in the name of God, that thou torment me not.  8For he had said unto him: Come forth of the man thou foul spirit.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
Luke 8:28-33
28When he saw Jesus, he cried, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said: What have I to do with thee Jesus the son of the God most highest? I beseech thee torment me not.  29Then he commanded the foul spirit to come out of the man. For often times he caught him, and he was bound with chains, and kept with fetters: and he brake the bonds, and was carried of the fiend, into wilderness.  30 Jesus asked him saying: what is thy name? And he said: Legion, because many devils were entered into him.  31And they besought him, that he would not command them to go out into the deep.  32 There was there by an herd of many swine, feeding on an hill, and they prayed him, that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.  33Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: And the herd took their course, and ran headlong into the lake, and were choked.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

It seems everything including darkness runs it’s course, and even the torment mentioned in
Revelation 14:9-11
9And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice: If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or on his hand,  10the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured in the cup of his wrath. And he shall be punished in fire and brimstone, before the holy angels, and before the lamb.  11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up evermore. And they have no rest day nor night, which worship the beast, and his image, and whosoever receiveth the print of his name.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
and
Revelation 20:10
and the devil that deceived them, was cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were and shall be tormented day and night for ever more.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

will be exceedingly more (evermore accountable on highest) of course day and night while those rebellious creatures exist till it has an end in Christ.
Luke 22:37
I say unto you that yet, that which is written must be performed in me (Even with the wicked was he numbered) for those things which are written of me have an end.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

We the people all are sinners, but thank God there's real hope for immortality in Christ Yesus for us repentant folk:
1 Corinthians 15:53-58
53For this corruptible must put on incorruptibility: and this mortal must put on immortality.  54When this corruptible hath put on incorruptibility: and this mortal hath put on immortality: then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is consumed into victory.  55Death where is thy sting? Hell where is thy victory?  56The sting of death is sin. The strength of sin is the law:  57But thanks be unto God, which hath given us victory thorow our Lord Jesus Christ.  58Therefore my dear brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable, always rich in the works of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know how that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

The end is deemed by Christ the LORD GOD who is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
Revelation 21:6-8
6And he said unto me: it is done I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and the end. I will give to him that is a thirst of the well of the water of life free.  7He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  8But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
- Tyndale and friends Bible

For where HE IS there’s no night nor darkness, but rather everlasting light and eternal life for ever more.
Revelation 21:23-27
23And the city hath no need of the sun neither of the moon to lighten it. For the brightness of God did light it: and the lamb was the light of it.  24And the people which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory (and honour) unto it.  25And the gates of it are not shut by day. For there shall be no night there.  26(And in to it shall they bring the glory and honour of the nations.)  27And there shall enter into it none unclean thing: neither whatsoever worketh abomination: or maketh lies: but they only which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
- Tyndale and friends Bible
