1:5 5 and derknessis comprehendiden not it. 5 And the light shineth in the darkness, and darkness comprehended it not. 5 and the lyght shyneth in the darcknes but the darcknes comprehended it not. 5 and the light shyneth in the darknesse, and the darknesse comprehended it not. 5 And that light shineth in the darkenesse, and the darkenesse comprehended it not. 5 And the lyght shyneth in darkenesse: and the darknesse comprehended it not.  5 And the light shineth in darknesse, and the darknesse comprehended it not. {comprehended: or, did not admit, or, receive}

1:9 9 There was a very liyt, which liytneth ech man that cometh in to this world. 9 That was a true light, which lighteneth all men that come into the world. 9 That was a true lyght which lyghteth all men that come into the worlde. 9 That was the true light, which lighteth all men, that come in to this worlde. 9 This was that true light, which lighteth euery man that commeth into the world. 9 That [lyght] was the true lyght, which lyghteth euery man that commeth into the worlde.  9 That was the true light, which lighteth euery man that commeth into the world.

1:14 14 And the word was maad man, and dwellyde among vs, and we han seyn the glorie of hym, as the glorie of the `oon bigetun sone of the fadir, ful of grace and of treuthe. 14 ¶ And that word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw the glory of it, as the glory of the only begotten son of the father, which word was full of grace, and verity. 14 And the worde was made flesshe and dwelt amonge vs and we sawe the glory of it as the glory of the only begotten sonne of ye father which worde was full of grace and verite. 14 And the worde became flesh, and dwelt amonge vs: and we sawe his glory, a glory as of the onely begotte sonne of the father, full of grace and trueth. 14 And that Word was made flesh, and dwelt among vs, (and we sawe the glorie thereof, as the glorie of the onely begotten Sonne of the Father) full of grace and trueth. 14 And the same word became fleshe, and dwelt among vs ( and we sawe the glory of it, as the glory of the only begotten sonne of the father) full of grace and trueth.  14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among vs (& we beheld his glory, the glory as of the onely begotten of the Father) full of grace and trueth.
1:15 15 Joon berith witnessyng of hym, and crieth, and seith, This is, whom Y seide, He that schal come aftir me, is maad bifore me, for he was tofor me; 15 ¶ Ihon bare witness of him saying: This was he of whom i spake, he that cometh after me, was before me because he was yer then i. 15 Iohn bare witnes of him and cryed sayinge: This was he of whome I spake he that cometh after me was before me because he was yer then I. 15 Ihon bare wytnesse of him, cryed, and sayde: It was this, of whom I spake: After me shal he come, that was before me, For he was or euer I: 15 Iohn bare witnesse of him, and cryed, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that commeth after me, was before me: for he was better then I. 15 Iohn beareth witnesse of hym, and cryeth, saying: This was he of whom I spake, he that commeth after me, is preferred before me, for he was before me.  15 Iohn bare witnesse of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that commeth after me, is preferred before me, for he was before me.
1:16 16 and of the plente of hym we alle han takun, and grace for grace. 16 And of his fullness have all we received, even favour for favour. 16 And of his fulnes have all we receaved even (grace) for grace. 16 and of his fulnesse haue all we receaued grace for grace. 16 And of his fulnesse haue all we receiued, and grace for grace. 16 And of his fulnesse haue all we receaued, and grace for grace.  16 And of his fulnesse haue all wee receiued, and grace for grace.
1:17 17 For the lawe was youun bi Moises; but grace and treuthe `is maad bi Jhesu Crist. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but favour and verity came by Iesus Christ. 17 For the lawe was geven by Moses but grace and truthe came by Iesus Christ. 17 For the lawe was geuen by Moses, grace and trueth came by Iesus Christ. 17 For the Lawe was giuen by Moses, but grace, and trueth came by Iesus Christ. 17 For the lawe was geuen by Moyses: but grace and trueth came by Iesus Christe.  17 For the Law was giuen by Moses, but grace and trueth came by Iesus Christ.
1:18 18 No man sai euer God, no but the `oon bigetun sone, that is in the bosum of the fadir, he hath teld out. 18 No man saw god at any time. The only begotten son, which is in the father's bosom, hath declared him. 18 No ma hath sene God at eny tyme. The only begotte sonne which is in ye bosome of ye father he hath declared him. 18 No man hath sene God at eny tyme. The onely begotte sonne which is in the bosome of the father, he hath declared the same vnto vs. 18 No man hath seene God at any time: that onely begotten Sonne, which is in the bosome of the Father, he hath declared him. 18 No man hath seene God at any tyme: The onely begotten sonne which is in the bosome of the father, he hath declared hym.  18 No man hath seene God at any time: the onely begotten Sonne, which is in the bosome of the Father, he hath declared him.
